Michael G. Sermer, MD
Dr. Sermer joined Waterbury Orthopaedic Associates, P.C. in September 1984 following a Trauma Fellowship at Toronto General Hospital. He received his medical school education at the University of Toronto and his residency training at the University of Toronto teaching hospitals in Toronto, Canada.
Dr. Sermer brings to the practice an expertise in comprehensive orthopaedic services including fracture management, and treatment of shoulder, hand and elbow problems. Additionally, he has an interest in hip and knee replacements as well as arthroscopic knee surgery, e.g., meniscal and ligament repairs. He is on staff at Waterbury Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital.
Dr. Sermer was named a "Top Doc" by Connecticut Magazine in 2002.
Dr. Sermer is married with two children. When not in the office, he enjoys classical music, playing tennis and table tennis, skiing and spending time with his family.
