Restore Physical Therapy Center

 Welcome to Restore Physical Therapy

Waterbury Orthopaedic Associates was proud to open Restore Physical Therapy in December, 2006. Our goal is to provide excellent care to patients rehabilitating from sports injuries as well as implement post-surgical regimens for procedures such as rotator cuff repairs, shoulder instability, and ACL reconstructions. At the same time, the increased communication between the treating therapists and physicians provides a more hands-on approach which we feel leads to better care of the patient.

Our facility has state of the art equipment to help restore patients’ function back to pre-injury levels. More importantly, we are fortunate to have two highly qualified therapists, Erin Walsh and Kathryn Flodquist, to provide care.

Erin Walsh, MS, PT

Erin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac University in 1994. She then received her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Quinnipiac in 2005 with a concentration in orthopedics. Erin has worked 14 years in an outpatient orthopedic setting. Her continuing education experiences have included a one year internship with Stride custom orthotics.  She is experienced in evaluating and casting for custom orthotics. Currently she enjoys working with all clientele including problems with the lower extremity and the shoulder and is taking classes at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.

Outside the clinic Erin enjoys the outdoors, sports and spending time with her husband and young daughter.

Kathryn Flodquist, PT, Cert. MDT, CSCS

Kathryn received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Hartford in 1998. She earned Certification in Mckenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment in 2000 and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She has 10 years of experience in outpatient physical therapy with an emphasis on treating the shoulder, knee and spine. She is a USA Triathlon Level 1 coach and has an active interest in working with athletes. She will begin classes in the fall of 2008 through Des Moines University in pursuit of her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
