Richard E. Loyer, MDEric J. Olson, MD

Dr. Olson joined Waterbury Orthopaedic Associates, P.C. in September 1995 after serving with the United States Army at Walter Reed Medical Center. His medical school education was at Columbia University with his internship, residency and Sports Medicine fellowship following at the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Olson's particular areas of expertise and interest include shoulder and knee problems, arthroscopic management of rotator cuff injuries, impingement syndrome and other shoulder disorders including instability, dislocations, SLAP lesions and arthritis; arthroscopic surgery of the knee for ligamentous and meniscal disorders, including meniscal repair and failed ligament reconstruction. He is on staff at Waterbury Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital.

Dr. Olson is a founder of Center for Integrative Healing and Wellness. He was also named a "Top Doc" by Connecticut Magazine in 2003.

Dr. Olson is the married father of two young children. His wife is an endocrinologist in the area. When not in the office, he enjoys sports and activities, especially tennis and Frisbee and spending time with his family.
