Michelle Mariani, MD

Dr. Mariani joined the practice in September 2008 after completing a Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Fellowship at University of Massachusetts Medical Center. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Jefferson Medical College where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Her orthopedic residency was completed at Tufts New England Medical Center where she received the Leonard Marmor Surgical Arthritis Foundation Award.

She has experience in physician coverage of all level sports, including Saint Mark’s High School, College of Holy Cross, Worcester State College, Boston Renegades, and the Boston Red Sox. 

Dr. Mariani has comprehensive training in fracture management, joint arthroplasty, upper extremity injuries, and general orthopedic conditions. Her particular area of expertise is in arthroscopic management of shoulder, knee, elbow, and ankle injuries. She has a specific interest in complex ligamentous injuries of the knee, rotator cuff tears, and cartilage injuries. 

She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Academy of Sports Medicine, and Arthroscopy Association of North America.

Dr. Mariani is married with a daughter.  When not in the office, she and her family enjoy spending time together, outdoor recreational activities, or catching a baseball game.
